Not Being Chosen Still Hurts — But I Choose Me Now!!

Some lessons don’t shout — they whisper through the quiet moments. April gave me those kinds of lessons. Heavy, silent, but unforgettable. So here’s what I’ve learned and what I’m taking into May — this time, with more heart, more hope, and more me

What April Taught Me:

1.🌫️ Not all hurt is loud. Sometimes the loudest pain comes in silence — in places where you expected support but got distance.

2.πŸͺž Your worth isn’t up for debate. Just because someone doesn’t see your value doesn’t mean it’s not there. Their silence isn’t your measure.

3.🌱 Growth can happen in the dark. Even in quiet, unnoticed spaces — we grow. Slowly, deeply, meaningfully.

4.🧘‍♀️ Healing is personal. No one needs to see your progress for it to be real. If you kept going, that’s enough.

5.✨ Being left out doesn’t mean you don’t belong. You’re not defined by where you weren’t invited — you’re defined by how you keep showing up.

What May Means to Me Now:

1.πŸ”₯ I’m choosing to believe in myself — fully and fiercely.

2.πŸ›€️ I’m moving forward — even if it’s one small step at a time.

3.☁️ I’m letting go of guilt and embracing rest when I need it.

4.🌸 I’m focusing on peace over proving, healing over hustling

Because yes — not being chosen hurts. But choosing myself? That heals in ways nothing else can.If you’re reading this and you’ve felt overlooked, unseen, or just tired— here’s your reminder:

You are still enough. You are still growing. You are still becoming.

Let’s make May the month we quietly rise — for ourselves.
